Read an AI product claim with the evidence in view

Ask what was tested, under which conditions and with what limitations.

Identify the specific claim

Replace broad promises with a concrete question. Does the claim concern accuracy on a dataset, speed on a task or a feature being available? Those are different kinds of evidence. A launch announcement establishes what the vendor says, not independent performance.

Distinguish research from testing

Look for the source, date, method and representative examples. A desk-research summary should say that it has not performed hands-on testing. A hands-on report should explain its setup and failure cases. Neither should hide relevant commercial relationships.

Keep change reports precise

One observation shows what was seen at that time. To call something a change, compare it with a dated earlier observation. Preserve the original source and describe uncertainty. Automated competitor collection is not active on this initial site.
